About the role
Plan International Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Officer (Child Safeguarding) to join their team. This full-time role is based in the Kwun Tong District and will play a crucial part in ensuring the organisation's commitment to child protection and safeguarding.
What you'll be doing
- Work, develop and implement child safeguarding consultancy and training programmes in the community, including to school staff, parents and children, in line with the organisation’s plan.
- Co-work with the Senior Manager, Hong Kong Programme and Advocacy to organise influencing events such as Conferences, Forums, Symposiums, Workshops, etc.
- Provide constructive content and editorial for the ongoing development of the child safeguarding website and other public channels to promote child safeguarding messages.
- Conduct programme monitoring and outcome evaluations to ensure effective programmes are performed
- Together with the Senior Manager, Hong Kong Programme and Advocacy, to work with Marcom and the influencing team to extend the Plan’s influence on the local community and engage key stakeholders to advocate a wide adoption of the Child Safeguarding Policy.
- Work with other units in implementing other Plan International activities.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in child protection, safeguarding or a related field
- In-depth understanding of child rights and child safeguarding principles and best practices
- Strong ability to develop and deliver effective training programmes on child safeguarding
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Proven track record in incident management, investigation and case resolution
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of child protection and safeguarding
- Willing and able to work irregular hours, outside office hours, including weekends or holidays, while replacement of the leave compensation will be granted under the company guidelines
