SENIOR MAINTENANCE WORKER (PEAK CAMPUS)
(Mon to Fri from 8am to 5pm, including a lunch break; alternate Saturdays from 8am to 12 pm)
We are seeking an energetic Senior Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities Team. The successful candidate will maintain the overall appearance and functioning of the school facility/buildings. Duties will be performed in a professional, proactive and quality manner to ensure a clean, safe, sanitary and attractive appearance of the buildings for its users.
The working hours and workdays are flexible and can be discussed during the interview. We will try to accommodate the applicant's requests wherever possible. Staff bus transportation is provided between Central and the Peak Campus and takes only 10 minutes. Occasionally evening work is required, and compensation will be provided either in the form of overtime pay or time in lieu.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repair on the school buildings involving painting, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, masonry, metal work and other building trades
- Provide guidance, support and supervision and control the progress and quality of work performed by in-house maintenance workers.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and systems
- Install and maintain equipment and appliances
- Ensure all health and safety protocols and guidelines are followed
- Respond to emergency situations and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Source, invite quotations and handling procurement of building materials.
- Maintain accurate records and inventory for assigned tools and equipment
- Perform ad hoc duties assigned by Maintenance Officer
- Perform parameter changes in the building management system (BMS) according to the staff’s needs.
- Compile up-to-date operation & maintenance records.
- Support event set up and reinstatement
- Assist in traffic control during arrival and dismissal
Requirements
- Secondary school graduate or above. Proven experience as a handyman or technician
- 5-year experience in building maintenance
- Strong Technical knowledge of general building maintenance, electrical, drainage and other systems
- Valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card)
- Holder of Grade A license for electrical work
- Grade A license for electrical work preferred but not a must
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
