Senior Academic Programme Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Department of Urban Planning and Design (Ref: 533438) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. A strong sense of responsibility, meticulous attention to detail, ability to multitask and to solve problems effectively are essential. Those with prior experience in management of undergraduate and/or taught postgraduate programmes, admissions, timetabling, assessment and student matters is highly preferred. The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours.
The appointee will play a key role in supporting academic programmes and administrative operations within the department. Responsibilities include coordinating teaching and learning activities, overseeing budget planning and reimbursement processes, and managing timetabling and assessments. The role also entails supervising and mentoring junior staff members in related duties.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
