Job Responsibilities:
- Develop customers for CP directly and work together/ support sales colleagues in different regions for customer account development.
- Regularly analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts based on historical data and market analysis.
- Take full responsibility for the department operations, incl. ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day business, constantly driving for operational excellence according to STARTEAM culture parameters
- Oversee technical and quality operations, including but not limited to drawing/specification review, NC/8D review, supplier audit etc.
- Lead, coach and motivate a strong team, share information and facilitate communication. Drive for individual as well as team excellence, embracing high-performance, customer orientation and enjoyment.
- Exercise full leadership authority in assigned department, incl. development, appraisal, recruitment, termination and other personnel actions.
- Create specific and measurable goals for the team and individuals and manage those goals.
- Identify and close gaps, manage risk and lead change in order to meet business objectives and operational needs, with positive impact beyond own department.
- Provide value-added expertise to the assigned department to grasp opportunities and solve issues at the departmental escalation level.
- Responsible for establishing, maintaining and optimizing department SOPs, and other related guidelines
- Build strong and collaborative partnerships with division directors, peers, employees and other departments to share information, optimize processes (e.g. automation, lean, OneTouch) and identify opportunities for improvement based on business needs.
- Develop, report and improve effective KPIs for department operations.
- Supervise the evaluation of all business opportunities presented by customers, external sales staff, and suppliers.
- Lead the sourcing of new suppliers and negotiate the best terms and product costs.
- Manage the execution of quotations to customers.
- Drive efforts to chase up external sales and customers to convert quotations to orders.
- Establish processes for introducing new products, customers, and suppliers.
- Respond to and execute all commercial project requests required by top management.
- Implement company strategies with sales and purchasing departments.
- Attend company exhibitions and actively liaise with customers, suppliers, and the external sales team.
- Negotiate exclusive and strategic supplier contracts to optimize business outcomes.
Job Requirements:
- University degree (bachelor), preferably in foreign trade or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in commercial sales or purchasing.
- Superior communication, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and the ability to persuade and influence business partners and peers in critical situations to obtain consensus.
- Profound knowledge of mechanical and electronics and their manufacturing processes, incl. commercial context.
- Strong technical and quality management skillset.
- Excellent customer service orientation delivered in a cost-efficient way.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and manage complex situations.
Superior in organisation and priority setting, accurate and efficient with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Excellent command in spoken and written English and Chinese (or any other language in advantage).
