Resident Clerk of Works (The Peak area)

Responsibilities:

• Provide site supervision services for ensuring the quality performance of the site construction during site formation, foundation and superstructure stage;
• Coordinate with the contractors and other consultants on programming of work in accordance with contract conditions and supervise the works through to the final completion of the project; and to attend regular project and site meetings;
• Review shop drawings, sample finishes, mock-ups, etc., for their conformance with the design intent;
• Clarify Request for Information (RFI) from the contractors from time to time;
• Assist and coordinate with the Architect to issue certificates such as payment certificate and practical completion certificate, etc.;
• Assist the Architect to carry out administrative duties under the construction contract;
• Assist and coordinate with the Architect for accepting the building on behalf of the Project Manager and the Client and providing scale drawings to show the as-built condition;
• Assist and coordinate with the Architect to prepare a schedule of defects at the end of the defects liability period or at any time earlier than that date as appropriate; and to inspect any defect remedial works, minor improvement and outstanding items during the defects liability period;
• Any other duties that the company may consider appropriate.

Requirements: 

• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Studies for RCOW (B) from the Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College/ Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent;
• 8 years' relevant post-qualification experience;
• 5 years' resident site experience, preferably with experience in luxury house development;
• Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2* or above in English Language and Chinese Language in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) /Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent [Note * Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.];
• Certificate or above in occupational safety and health or in construction safety.
