Research Scientist

We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Scientist to join our Battery and Application Technology team. Help shape the future of battery technology by contributing to groundbreaking research and development projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute electrochemical tests on anode and cathode materials for aqueous battery systems.

• Develop advanced electrochemical diagnosis platforms and conduct in-situ testing on electrodes and components.

• Optimize charge-discharge and evaluation protocols to assess electrochemical performance.

• Explore and refine testing procedures for electrodes, electrolytes, and separators.

• Perform electrochemical cell teardowns and carry out failure analysis on battery materials and components.

• Visualize and analyze data, preparing comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations for battery additive R&D.

• Collaborate closely with research teams to guide promising scenarios toward production readiness.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Battery Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Material Chemistry, Material Physics, or a related discipline.

• 1 year of R&D experience in rechargeable battery research or energy storage materials is mandatory

• Proficiency in electrochemical testing techniques (e.g., CV, EIS, LSV, GITT), with proven ability to conduct independent R&D.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for data analysis and statistics.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong sense of accountability, integrity, and results-oriented mindset

• Willingness to learn new concepts from patents and literature, and propose creative ideas

• Background in developing battery and inorganic materials, as well as familiarity with crystal structure analysis techniques (e.g., XRD) is preferred

• Experience with organic material development is preferred

• Frequent travel to PRC is required
