The appointee will oversee and manage the daily operation of the institute, including handling administrative tasks, maintaining organizational records, and ensuring efficient operations in the institute.  The appointee will be responsible for planning and executing seminars, workshops, and public outreach events; coordinating logistic arrangements and collaborating with external organizations to maximize the impact of outreach initiatives.  Additionally, the candidate will assist in preparing and submitting grant applications; ensuring compliance with funding requirements; and maintaining the database of funding opportunities.

The appointee will also facilitate collaborative projects with national and international space agencies, research institutions, and industry partners; manage communications and logistics to ensure timely completion of projects. Handling media requests, coordinating interviews and developing relationships with media representatives to ensure accurate coverage of the institute’s activities are essential aspects of this role.

Furthermore, the candidate will write and distribute articles, press releases, and other communication materials to highlight the institute’s achievements and events.  The incumbent will collaborate with researchers to gather content and ensure accurate representation of scientific work; manage the institute’s online presence, including website updates and social media content creation.

The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, communications, public relations, space sciences, event management, or a related discipline, with preferably 2 years of work experience.  A master’s degree is preferred.  The appointee should have demonstrated experience in administrative roles; organization of events; public outreach; grant writing; and media relations, ideally within a scientific or academic setting related to space science and technology.  Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills are essential to effectively support the institute’s mission and activities.  The ability to manage multiple tasks, handle media requests, and write news articles are required.  Familiarity with satellite data curation and coordination of space-related collaborations is a plus. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
