Our insurance client is looking for a skilled Information Security specialist to join its team. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to create and implement effective security protocols and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular security evaluations and vulnerability assessments to uncover potential risks and weaknesses within our systems and infrastructure.
  • Continuously monitor and assess security incidents to promptly identify and respond to potential threats.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and practices to ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with IT departments to establish secure network architectures, systems, and applications.
  • Keep abreast of emerging security technologies, trends, and threats to proactively mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Engage in incident response efforts, assisting in the investigation and resolution of security breaches.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in information security or a related position.
  • A strong foundation in information security concepts, standards, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO27001, or PCI DSS.
  • Proficient in using security assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of network and system security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM are preferred.
