Half-time Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer (Health Care / Community Care)

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CUSCS), founded in 1965, is a self-financing extension unit of the University with its mission to provide quality lifelong education to the community of all ages. The School offers a wide variety of full-time and part-time post-secondary, professional and continuing education programmes, general courses and corporate training courses in diversified disciplines. CUSCS now invites applications for the post of Half-time Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer to provide support in teaching and programme quality assurance support to related Higher Diploma programmes, Diploma programmes as well as Professional and Continuing Education Programmes. The appointee must be able to teach during daytime on some weekdays for one whole semester starting from September 2024.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree and a Master's degree in nursing, community care, public health or related disciplines; (ii) at least 4 years’ post-Master teaching / clinical supervision experience at tertiary level; (iii) proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese; (iv) substantial experience in programme curriculum design, review and development; and (v) good connections with related industries and societies. Registered nurses in Hong Kong with a valid Practising Certificate issued by The Nursing Council of Hong Kong would be an advantage. Applicants with less experience but have at least 2 years’ post-Master teaching experience may be considered for appointment at Assistant Lecturer rank.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 1 year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
