Duties

Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Development Services (Student Life and Resources), the appointee will be responsible to:

  1. Manage various university scholarships and financial assistance schemes by liaising with potential/existing donors and award recipients, implementing tailor-made nomination/selection exercises, and preparing relevant correspondence and reports for the University and donors;
  2. Manage various project-based scholarships and outbound exchange scholarships by liaising with external organisations and relevant work partners in the University, preparing statistics and reports, and arranging award payments;
  3. Plan and organise promotion activities and publicity for scholarships/financial assistance schemes;
  4. Provide advice to candidates or recipients of scholarships and/or financial assistance schemes, organise relevant briefing sessions, arranging interviews, and coordinating the video production for success stories;
  5. Assist in maintaining students’ scholarship records in the University record system and managing the scholarships e-application/nomination system;
  6. Provide secretarial support to the University committee work; and
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointee will be required to work flexible hours on a need basis.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ post-qualification working experience, preferably in the higher education sector. Being meticulous, good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), and good interpersonal and communication skills are required. Experience in youth services or fund management, especially scholarship administration in higher education would be an advantage.

Candidates with more than 7 years’ relevant working experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
