職位描述

Duties

  1. Assist in managing various university scholarships and financial assistance schemes (such as Institutional Scholarship Schemes, Sports Scholarships, emergency fund, bursaries and loans);
  2. Assist in handling and vetting applications for CityUHK Financial Assistance Scheme, Temporary Student Loan Fund and Deferral of Tuition fee payments;
  3. Provide administrative support:

    • coordinating application exercises, organising promotion activities and publicity for scholarships/financial assistance schemes
    • preparing statistics and reports, and arranging award payments
    • assisting in maintaining students’ award records in the University record system and managing the scholarship e-application/nomination system
    • maintaining website updating
    • bookkeeping for the team’s budget accounts and preparing documents for purchase requests (e.g. purchase requisitions and purchase orders)
  4. Assist in managing various university systems (such as the Donation system, Student Finance system, Scholarship Management system); and
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointee will be required to work flexible hours on a need basis.

Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 2 years’ post-qualification clerical/administrative experience. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail and being self-motivated; ability to work independently and efficiently with good communication, problem-solving and organisational skills; and strong computer literacy are required. A Bachelor’s degree with clerical/administrative experience, preferably in tertiary institutions, is preferred. Possession of basic design skills and experience in using design software to create promotional materials (e.g. posters and graphics) would be an advantage.

Candidates with more than 6 years’ relevant working experience in handling academic programmes may be considered for appointment as Executive Assistant I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
