EDPS Systems Limited is a leading supplier of skilled IT personnel in Hong Kong, providing innovative solutions to a wide range of clients. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:

As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data foundation for an innovative AI-driven project focused on athletic performance and injury prevention. From defining data schemas and validating data pipelines to designing dashboards and supporting ML model development, your insights will directly impact the performance and health of athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Data Discovery & Validation:

o   Identify and document existing data sources and schemas.

o   Analyze data availability, quality, and gaps.

o   Define validation rules and implement data quality checks.

o   Collaborate on backlog definition and user persona development.

·         Data Structuring & Support:

o   Defining relational schemas and data relationships.

o   Support data preparation for ML model training and testing.

o   Collaborate with sports scientists on feature engineering.

·         Dashboard Design:

o   Co-design interactive Tableau dashboards.

o   Ensure dashboards reflect accurate, validated, and real-time data.

o   Provide feedback on usability and data interpretation.

·         Testing & Feedback:

o   Participate in system-wide testing and data validation.

o   Support feedback collection and refinement of reports and dashboards.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Sports Science, or a related field.

·         Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis or a related role.

·         Strong skills in data validation, data profiling, and data visualization.

·         Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational database systems.

·         Familiarity with data modelling techniques such as ERD and normalization.

·         Experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.

·         Familiarity with sports science, performance metrics, or health data is a plus.

·         Excellent communication and documentation skills.

·         Languages & Tools: Python, Pandas, SQL

·         Visualization: Tableau

·         Data Tools: Data Cleaning Libraries, Validation Scripts

·         Database Systems: MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB

·         Database Modelling Techniques: Entity-Relationship Diagrams, Normalization
