Cloud Engineer – Hong Kong

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multi-cloud environments, ensuring system reliability, executing technical projects, and implementing automation solutions to support our business operations. This role requires a strong background in cloud and on-premises infrastructure, system administration, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain platforms and services across multi-cloud environments (Azure, Alibaba Cloud, etc.).

• Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of IT systems through Site Reliability Engineering practices.

• Lead and deliver technical projects involving hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure with a focus on high availability, security, and performance.

• Oversee cloud resources, servers, databases, SAN storage, data protection, and disaster recovery planning.

• Perform routine operations and system administration tasks for cloud, servers, and storage environments.

• Install, test, upgrade, and maintain software across cloud and on-premises systems.

• Monitor system health, conduct regular checks, manage housekeeping jobs, and perform disaster recovery drills.

• Provide after-hours support when necessary to ensure uninterrupted operations.

• Perform first-level problem diagnosis and troubleshooting to improve system reliability.

• Implement and manage automation tools and platforms such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Ansible.

• Perform additional tasks and support activities as assigned by the team leader.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud/server operations, system administration, and support roles.

• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate) are advantageous.

Strong technical skills, including:

• Administration and troubleshooting of Windows, Linux, MS SQL, HP Proliant blade servers, and blade infrastructure.

• Knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS, MS clustering, SAN storage, backup solutions (e.g., Commvault), SCCM/SCOM, HP SIM/iLO, System Management Homepage.

• Experience with multi-cloud platforms such as Azure and Alibaba Cloud is a plus.

• Proficiency in automation and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible).

• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.

• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.

• Familiarity with system monitoring and management tools.

• Ability to work under pressure and support after-hours operations when required.
