Job Description

Clerical Officer I/II in the Hong Kong Branch of National Precious Metals Material Engineering Research Center [Ref. R/353/25]

Duties

  1. Manage and create content for social media accounts such as WeChat Official Account and Facebook, etc.;
  2. Create engaging short promotional videos to boost brand visibility;
  3. Assist in developing and designing high-impact promotional materials (such as brochures) for both printed and digital channels, ensuring they align with CityUHK’s vision;
  4. Assist in designing, updating and maintaining the Center’s website;
  5. Assist in organising the Center’s activities and conferences;
  6. Provide administrative support to the general office;
  7. Manage records and databases; and
  8. Perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointee will be required to work flexible hours on a need basis.

Requirements

  1. A degree holder (preferably with academic qualifications in Marketing/Communications or Event Management) with 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE, including English Language, Chinese Language, and Mathematics;
  2. At least 2 years of relevant working experience;
  3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  4. Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  5. Strong sense of responsibility and attention to details;
  6. Ability to work independently under tight schedules and as a team player;
  7. Proficiency in managing social media platforms, content creation tools, and multimedia production; and
  8. Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word-processing).

Candidates with more than 6 years’ experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
