Assistant Career Development Officer in the Student Development Services [Ref. R/311/25]
Duties
- Provide administrative and logistical support for the daily operations of the Career and Leadership Centre (including handling enquiries related to students’ career development and employment matters from students, employers and internal staff members, as well as recruiting and supervising student helpers);
- Assist with the team’s administrative and staffing matters (including the preparation of various reports, presentation materials and budget documents). Responsibilities also include managing training rooms and other office’s equipments;
- Support the planning and implementation of career and employability enhancement programmes that aim to strengthen students’ career readiness and professional development;
- Assist in organising career-related events and initiatives (such as recruitment talks, employer outreach and engagement activities, career fairs, and other programmes that connect students with potential employers);
- Assist in designing and promoting career-related events and provide support in managing the social media and job platforms of Career and Leadership Centre;
- Liaise with employers, industry partners and academic units regarding job opportunities and career events for our students; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned to support the team and the overall goals of the students’ career development.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 year’s administrative/relevant experience;
- Good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and analytical skills;
- Being self-motivated and passionate in facilitating students’ growth and career development;
- Ability to work independently and in a team;
- Proficiency in computer applications (such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are required; and
- Knowledge of and interest in design and social media would be an advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
