Senior Product Developer – Outdoor Products

MacNeill Worldwide Pacific Limited is a US based company which is recognized as a world leader in Athletic traction industry, end customers include Nike, Adidas, Reebok, New Balance, Under Armour, and scores of others; product types cover the sport categories of golf, soccer, American football, baseball, track and field etc.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Developer to join our Hong Kong team, working at the intersection of product innovation and manufacturing execution. In this role, you’ll collaborate with our US-based product designers and developers to help bring new outdoor products to life — translating ideas into actionable, manufacturable solutions by working closely with suppliers across Asia.

This is not a sourcing or independent product developer role — instead, you'll play a key part in executing and refining innovative concepts, ensuring alignment between design intent and production realities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of new product projects in collaboration with US-based product design and development teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers in China and across Asia to ensure technical feasibility, manufacturability, and production readiness.
• Serve as the main engineering point of contact in Hong Kong, working on-site with the local team and sharing resources.
• Travel regularly into Mainland China and southeast Asia to follow up with suppliers and factories, monitor progress, and resolve technical challenges.
• Gather and evaluate new manufacturing techniques, factory capabilities, and emerging product trends to inform future projects.
• Assist with quality assurance tasks as needed, in collaboration with the existing QA team.
• Actively contributes to continuous product innovation and refinement processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, ideally with outdoor consumer products (e.g. gear, tools, sporting goods).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development cycles, and supplier collaboration in Asia.

• Fluent in English (required) for daily communication with the US team.

• Willingness to travel frequently within Mainland China and southeast Asia.
• Strong communication, coordination, and project management skills.
