Government Relations Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting SenseTime Hong Kong’s business development through strategic engagement with governments and related partners; developing and executing key local / regional programmes; growing market opportunities, and enhancing our corporate reputation through strategic initiatives.

We are looking for an experienced and independent professional with a passion for technology and its positive impact on society at large.

Responsibilities:

• Establish, plan and execute the engagement strategies with key public-sector stakeholders with a view of enhancing the Company’s corporate positioning.

• Strategize and execute effective public affairs programmes, and manage the relationship and communication with all stakeholders.

• Forge and maintain partnerships with institutions such as universities, research institutes, industry associations, and industry alliances to foster greater cooperation within the ecosystem and maintain network of industry leaders.

• Collect, organize, and analyze national/regional and industry policies and regulations, providing policy support for the company's business development and high-level decision-making.

• Assist and perform other corporate development affairs duties as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Business, Mass Communications, Language Studies, Political Science or related disciplines.

• 5 years’ experience in Management Consulting, Government Relations in large-scale organisations or with proven record of collaboration with government departments.

• Excellent communication, writing and organisational skills.

• Excellent problem solving skills, ability to perform under pressure.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (both Putonghua and Cantonese).

• Strong sensitivity in current affairs and political landscape, and versatile in issues management, stakeholder engagement and publicity.
