Building Services Engineer

NV5 Mission Critical is a division of NASDAQ-listed engineering consultancy NV5. Our Mission Critical division is a dynamic and growing unit that specialises in the field of design, due diligence reviews and enhanced testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems and Mission Critical Applications such as data centres and banking. We have offices in across the region including Hong Kong, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Singapore, Jakarta, Manila and Kuala Lumpur. Recently we joined NV5 group.   Our customer base consists of many blue-chip organisations that come from the IT, financial, commercial and industrial sectors that operate globally. As demand for our services is increasing across the region, we are seeking high quality personnel to meet the existing and future needs of our exceptionally strong client base.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initially working under supervision of a senior engineer on projects involving mission critical facilities such as data centres;

• Gradually develop to work autonomously a lot of the time, with less supervision, and therefore needs to be highly motivated to achieve the level of quality and work expected of him/her;

• The role involves a significant amount of site-based working, as well as occasional travel outside of Hong Kong;

• Projects may involve design, T&C or a combination of both;

• Maintain good relationships and communication with colleagues, Clients and other stakeholders;

• Maintain good technical knowledge of the industry and relevant M&E design and industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Graduated with a Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical;

• Master's level education preferred;

• Have experience working with international clients (e.g.Microsoft) and hyperscale data centres;

• Computer literate and have experience with industry design software such as CAD, BIM, CFD, AMTECH etc;

• Good command of spoken and written English. Language ability in regional languages (e.g. Bahasa) is preferred;

• Motivated and keen to learn;

• Good people skills and time management skills;

• Willing to travel.
