WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE

Reporting to Senior Manager of Development Engineering, the Project Manager is an experienced development specialist responsible for product development and project follow up from a conceptual design to mass production.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

·       Establish, coordinating and monitoring project objectives with the Creative teams (US/UK/AP). Clearly communicates project cost, quality and timeline objectives to the teams.

·       Define product functional & safety requirements with the Creative teams (US/UK/AP) and assure requirements are communicated clearly to the teams and printing vendors prior to final model and artwork release.

·       Define design specifications, functions and parts list.

·       Define manufacturing process in coordination with manufacturing vendors.

·       Creates value engineering design, design for manufacturing proposal, and/or cost reduction proposal.

·       Liaise with the Creative teams (US/UK/AP) to ensure technical, manufacturing and costing feasibility.

·       Direct & monitor model maker to fabricate models in requirements of function, quality, cost and schedule.

·       Co-ordinate model approval with the Creative teams (US/UK/AP).

·       Direct and co-ordinate injection tool plan with tool maker.

·       Prepare and issue product specification when vendor turnover.

·       Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve material, structural, mold flow, safety, technical and process issues at production level.

·       Monitor production start-up conditions at manufacturing vendors, and responds to inspection or intervention failures.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

·       Education: Bachelor degree in development engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial design or equivalent.

·       Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plastic product development and/or production in toys industry or consumer product industry. Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Project Manager.

·       Able to work under pressure, independently, and self-motivating.

·       Fluent in Cantonese, Putonghua and English.  (Read/write/speak)
