Site Agent / Site Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent / Site Supervisor to join our construction team at Shimizu Corporation. As a Site Agent / Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on a construction site. This is a full-time position that requires on-site supervision and coordination of all construction activities.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and coordinate the activities of all construction personnel, including tradesmen, subcontractors and labourers
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the project plans, specifications and relevant safety standards
• Monitor progress and quality of work, and report any issues or delays to the project manager
• Liaise with clients, consultants and other related parties to ensure effective communication and problem-solving
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, including timesheets, material usage and equipment/plant utilisation
• Implement and enforce site safety procedures to protect the wellbeing of all personnel
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior site staff

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Agent / Site Supervisor in the construction industry
• Strong working knowledge of construction materials, methods and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse teams
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and contracts
• Sound understanding of occupational health and safety regulations
• Proficient in project management and problem-solving skills
• Tertiary qualification in construction management or a related field is preferred
