Air Freight Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Operations professional to join our team at ISS Global Forwarding in Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong District, Hong Kong. As a full-time Air Freight Operations specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of our air freight logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Coordinate and monitor air freight shipments, ensuring timely pickup, customs clearance, and delivery
2. Liaise with airlines, customs authorities, and other logistics partners to optimise transit times and minimise delays
3. Prepare and process all necessary documentation, such as air waybills, customs declarations, and commercial invoices
4. Provide proactive updates and communication to internal stakeholders and external clients
5. Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the air freight process
6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of air freight operations through data analysis and process optimization

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in air freight operations, preferably in a freight forwarding or logistics environment
2. Strong understanding of air freight regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
4. Proficiency in using logistics management software and data analysis tools
5. Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
6. Adequate in written and spoken English
