English tutor for Star-catcher Programme 24-25

Our school is recruiting one English tutor for our after-school Star-catcher programme. Details are as follows:

Job Duties

• Providing tutoring (in small groups) for elite Secondary 6 students (1st Term) and  elite Secondary 5 students (2nd Term)
• Developing teaching materials, assessing and providing feedback for students’ works
• Drilling advanced exam skills on Paper 2 (Writing) and Paper 3 (Listening)

Requirements

• Degree holders or equivalent in related disciplines with good academic results
• Grade C or above in HKCEE and HKALE, or 5 or above in HKDSE relevant subjects
• Excellent presentation skills and well-organised
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred
• Current university students are welcome

Job details

Between October 2024 and May 2025, successful applicants will conduct 3 2-hour tutorial sessions in the First Term and 3 1.5-hour sessions in the Second Term (a total of 6 sessions. 10.5 hours in total) for a small group (8 – 10 students).

Salary

Up to $760 per hour (a total of $7,980 for the full course)
