Senior Electrical & Electronic Engineer

We are a world leader in Water and Swimming Pool Technologies.  Our subsidiary in Hong Kong is now looking for a Senior Electrical & Electronic Engineer who will be stationed in Hong Kong but travel to China on a needed basic.  Reporting to the Head of Operation, you will be instrumental in the development of new products as well as acting as expert advisor to other NPD team members.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Joint development of schematic designs & embedded systems for PCBAs  together with vendors including critical component selection in accordance with product reliability requirement.
• Participate in cross-functional teams in new product development, design review or changes related to current products.
• Perform EE data collection, analyze and interpret data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to define electrical and electronic specifications, test & reliability plans and test methodologies for new product development.
• Provide technical support for test fixture design from vendors during NPI and mass production stage.
• Assess, test, validate, conduct failure analysis and troubleshoot the entire EE integrated systems from prototype and NPI to MP stage according to EE specifications as well as test & reliability plan.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements of related products as far as electrical & electronics are concerned.
• Maintain and manage thorough records of electrical and electronic engineering activities, including testing, validation and design changes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree or Master in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Engineering or related disciplines.
• 10 years or above of experience in combined EE design, embedded electronics development, the integration of electronics and software into complete systems for consumer products.
• Strong technical know-how in EE control on motor, lithium battery management system, battery power supply with charging, sensor and light signalling systems.
• Familiar with the use of test equipments such as multi-meters, variable power supplies, electronic loads, signal generators, oscilloscopes, multichannel data loggers to validate EE systems of products.
• Familiar with related safety standards and regulations of consumer electronics.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic environment
• Good command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Travel to China is required.

5 days’ work per week, nice working environment in a dynamic field.
