Accountabilities
The jobholder is responsible for:
- Supporting setup and performance of engineering related processes,
The setup, oversight, delivery and performance of the RIC deliverables and their coordination, including:
- The scheduling and management of the RIC monthly meeting and RIC Management Meetings (yearly),
- The gathering and follow-up of all actions identified as part of the RIC,
- The implementation of the necessary process and its regular update according business needs,
- The definition/update/support of a dashboard/Visual Management Platform and any other reporting tool dedicated to the activity,
- Continuous improvement of RIC process through regular exchanges with worldwide RIC network jobholders
The management of the different engineering stakeholders:
- The follow-up of actions implementation with Customer/FHS local & central teams in regards with FHS components,
The collection of data not available in FHS engineering, through Customer, to:
- Assess importance of an LRU in terms of financial and/or aircraft performance,
- Perform in depth technical investigations in order to define short and long-term position,
Airline Engineering demands related to:
- FHS TRM organization (every 6 months), including the definition of agenda and the organization of on-site technical reviews with AIRBUS staff and suppliers,
- Process mapping update,
- The support and coordination with Airbus internal stakeholders of forced/monitored retrofit campaigns
- FHS MISdata update,
- Benefiting from his footprint in HKG to manage TRM or any other customer deliverables outside his RIC perimeter in customer premises

Operating Budget: significant impact on FHS/TSP components reliability through analysis & deliverable which impact AIRBUS FHS Investments and Direct repair costs. Other budgets:

Main activities
ENGINEERING PROCESSES
Ensure adequate implementation and continuous enhancement of engineering processes between Customer, 1SYR and FHS for the following processes:
- Manage Reliability Control Programme (RCP)
- Manage Component Reliability,
- Manage Rogue Unit,
- Manage Reliability Improvement Committee (RIC),
- Manage Component Modification,
- Manage Component Data Approval,
- Manage On-board Data Security Management,
- Manage Aircraft Maintenance Schedule update,
- Manage TCI (Time Controlled Items),
Represent AIRBUS FHS in necessary meetings hosted by Customer as necessary:
- Daily operational meeting,
- AOG coordination meeting,
- Weekly line maintenance pre-input meeting,
RIC PROCESS DEFINITION AND FOLLOW-UP
- Collect data from the field on in service events and components in order to gather the items impacting the customer A350 fleet performance or operations,
- Perform first level analysis considering operational/financial criticality in order to allow correct prioritization of the items,
- From first level analysis, identify top critical items and ensure their trend monitoring,
- Define/update the dedicated reporting tools in order to provide the customer & AIRBUS with the same level of information/visibility on top items and resolution of in service events
- Allocate the topics to the different stakeholders and give the priority level
- Coordinate with the customer, FHS Operations, Airline Engineering, In Service Engineering and Programme and OEMs, the organization of dedicated technical reviews for specific topics as required
- As required escalate top items which need to be fast tracked through AIRBUS dedicated processes or to top management (either through the flow-up/flow down process or through SCS/SBx management),
- Organize and manage the RIC meetings and RIC Management meetings with aim of presenting advancement of technical topics to Customer whilst protecting the main interests of AIRBUS: Customer satisfaction and contract financial efficiency.
- Support preparation and participate to the customer A350 Technical Review Meeting organized by AIRBUS Support Programme (yearly),
- Be part of the worldwide RIC Network with strong connections & exchanges with the other RIC jobholders to improve RIC process & efficiency, and be the back-up of other RIC job holder in the region
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS & INVESTIGATIONS
- With the support of Airline Engineering and field service representatives, perform technical analysis of component behavior, performance, Time Since installation… on A/C to support detailed components analysis performed by Airline Engineering
- In coordination with Airline Engineering, identify/propose soft time/health checks program recommendations to Customer and coordinate action relative to the implementation of those programs once validated,
- Make sure that the technical recommendation provided by the Airline Engineering team or through the flow-up/flow-down process or from In Service Engineering are implemented into operational tasks by the Customer team.
- Through active participation to the RCP (Reliability Control Programme)/MOR (Mandatory Occurrence Report), present to the customer the identified root cause and related actions to be implemented by FHS/Customer to limit impact of a reliability issue .
- Provide relevant technical information to enable commercial analysis of reliability improvement measures (e.g. modification, soft-time program, health checks recommendations) as basis for validation from joint technical & financial perspectives and coordinate implementation of those programs once validated
TECHNICAL COORDINATION
- Collect data as required by the various teams (1SYR in Toulouse, 1SY, SBx, SCY,…) on components and monitor trends with the support from Airline Engineering TLS,
- Help collecting the data required to build claim dossier for Procurement to claim as per Supplier Support Condition clauses,
- As required, organize/participate in dedicated on-site reviews with AIRBUS people and suppliers. Organize technical reviews with OEMs when necessary.
- Support Airline Engineering demands on FHS MIS data update such as but not limited to creation of interchangeabilities, new P/N, update/creation of kardex positions, hard-time constraints.
Main Skills/knowledge
Graduation and technical skills:
- Educated to a 5-year degree level (or equivalent) specialized in aeronautical engineering or maintenance engineering,
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and/or airline operations,
- Good knowledge of maintenance operations, configuration management and aircraft systems (Avionics, power plant, flight controls, Air management, Landing Gear,)
- Reliability management principles: MTBUR computation, root cause analysis and investigations, statistical method (Weibull)
- Good knowledge of AIRBUS Technical publications: AMM/MPD/IPC/TSM/MMEL/ FCOM/SBs/TFU/VSB/SIL,
- Good knowledge of AIRBUS Support and Services organization and related processes,
- IT systems and tools: FHS IS/MCA/MS Excel/MS PowerPoint/MS Visio/Google Suite
Soft skills and behavioral skills:
- Language: English (Fluent),
- Good communication & presentation skills: daily interface with Customers and Suppliers,
- Ability to work in multicultural teams,
