Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointees shall mainly assist the research team in a research project “Teaching and Learning in Digital Humanities: A Study of Enhancing the Experiences of Chinese Literature and Culture through Interactive Installations for Immersive Space” (Project No.: R7046). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Constructing 2D/3D assets for the use of the research project;
  • Designing and developing immersive experience using Unity;
  • Research and develop novel 2D/3D visualization and interaction experience with Chinese literature and culture for large-scale immersive display space;
  • Assisting the Principal Investigator/supervisors to prepare experiments; and
  • Conducting other ad-hoc research activities as instructed by the Principal Investigator.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Creative/Interactive Media, Computer Science, or any related disciplines;
  • Good understanding of 2D/3D-related artistic and visual design principles and techniques is a must for the role of 2D/3D Artist;
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in Unity development and Unity C# programing is a must for the role of Unity Developer;
  • Understanding of interactive 3D simulation in virtual / augmented reality or generative AI would be an advantage;
  • Fresh graduates are welcome, and candidates who have intention to pursue a research postgraduate degree is preferable;
  • Detail-oriented, hardworking, responsible, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and work independently; and
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
