Technical Operations Specialist (QC)

Job description

Roles & Responsibility:

• Lead the Pre-Production meetings, with follow-up as necessary
• Conducts during-production (DUPRO) and final inspections
• Primarily inspects apparel, with partial coverage of hardlines, footwear, toys/gifts/home decor, pets item… according to the agreed AQL standards.
• Conduct onsite technical factory audit.
• Assesses & improves factory Quality Mgt. Systems
• Assist factories in developing Corrective Action Plans (CAP) and oversees implementation
• Handle customer's complaint and issues. Perform investigations as required
• Seasonal Data analysis for vendors performance based on inspection result
• Centric PLM system management for quality area
• Develop standardized work procedures and promoting best practices.
• Provide support and technical resources /advice to US team concerning supplier corrective actions and approval
• Lead resolution of major quality issues, customers complaints, and recurring issues.
• Strong communication with overseas vendors / factories / US team
• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Frequent travel (China, Southeast Asia countries …)  is required

Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

• Min 5 years relevant experience in apparel, hardlines (outdoor items)/footwear/toys/gifts/home decor/pets items, exposure to U.S. market is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of the apparel, hardlines production / manufacturing process
• Excellent technical, analytical, problem solving, and reporting skills.
• Able to work and communicate with US product development team and fit technicians independently as well as with the suppliers
• Responsible for conducting factories  / suppliers’ pre-production meetings, in-line and final inspection according to the company’s quality control requirements
• Provide technical recommendation to factories on workmanship issues
• Prepare inspection report within the designated timeline
• Prepare seasonal analytical reports for each vendor’s performance on quality control
• Good communication skill & good command of written & spoken English, Cantonese & Mandarin
• Frequent travel is required (China, Southeast Asia countries …)
