We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:

Technical Officer (N&HS) (Ref: 250019H)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will assist the Project Proposer in coordinating an educational initiative aimed at enhancing nursing students’ clinical reasoning using immersive virtual reality technology. 

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • managing a quality enhancement project for conducting simulation to support undergraduate nursing students to enhance clinical competence and clinical reasoning;
  • conducting literature reviews on relevant topics;
  • coordinating the project implementation;
  • assisting in data collection;
  • performing quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis; 
  • drafting reports and presentations relevant to the project; and
  • providing assistance related to the project.

 

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience, and competence

  • a recognized Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in nursing, psychology, public health, healthcare sciences, or related disciplines;
  • prior experience in conducting quantitative studies would be advantages;
  • proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and PowerPoint; 
  • proficient in SPSS would be an advantage;
  • strong leadership and project management skills;
  • a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; 
  • a strong sense of self-motivation and responsibility, and 
  • the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
