Teaching Consultant (Cantonese)

Teaching Consultant (Cantonese) (2 posts) in the Chan Feng Men-ling Chan Shuk-lin Language Centre (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. T/051/25]
Duties

1. Teach Chinese (Cantonese) language courses and/or other courses as assigned;

2. Contribute to curriculum design and materials development;

3. Contribute to projects, services and activities; and

4. Assume administrative responsibilities and/or other duties in support of services and activities.

Requirements

A Master’s or doctoral degree in Chinese (Cantonese) Language/Linguistics or a closely-related field [e.g. MA in Second Language Teaching (Cantonese specialization)] OR a Master’s degree in a relevant field with an undergraduate degree or 18 post-graduate credits in Chinese (Cantonese); and at least 2 years’ full-time teaching experience (post-graduation) at the secondary level or above. Substantial experience in teaching Chinese (Cantonese) at the tertiary level and proven experience in the development of materials in both face-to-face and technology-mediated modes are an advantage.
