Shipping executive

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Shipping Executive to join our dynamic team at Stamford Tyres (HK) Ltd. As a Shipping Executive, you will play a crucial role in the efficient import and export operations of our business, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of goods across global markets. This full-time position is based in our Tsuen Wan District office, where you will contribute to the overall success of our import/export and customs functions.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinating and managing the import and export of goods, including liaising with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and customs authorities
• Preparing and processing all necessary shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations
• Tracking shipments and providing updates to internal stakeholders and clients on the status of deliveries
• Identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, ensuring timely resolution
• Maintaining accurate records and databases of all shipping activities
• Collaborating with the logistics and operations teams to optimise shipping processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar shipping or logistics role, preferably in the import/export and customs industry
• Strong understanding of international shipping processes, documentation, and customs clearance procedures
• Full set of Import / Export documentation process
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• Proficient in using relevant shipping and logistics software and systems
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve shipping-related issues
• Good command of English and Cantonese
