Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor end to end merchandising process from ordering to product delivery;

  • Responsible for ensuring critical paths including delivery of trims and fabric to supplier for on-time delivery of finished goods to designated customers / markets;

  • Daily communicate and coordinate with partnering departments, suppliers, factories and key stakeholders on all production merchandising issues, monitoring the production progress to ensure on-time delivery;

  • Update order status and weekly schedule on delivery process;

  • Negotiate with factories on production details and any related issues;

  • Manage production risk assessment and work on corrective action plan with suppliers;

  • Diagnose production problem and work with factory to present alternatives to resolve issues which are often varied and non-routine;

  • Undertake analysis and investigation to solve differing, but related, problems;

  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of PO including pricing, terms and all relevant data in system;

  • Maintain brand trims list and make sure garment vendors to purchase brand material in time;

  • Purchase some specific trims and support products VAS in warehouse to meet market regulation; 

  • Work closely with garment vendors, fabric and trims suppliers for order management including delivery plans, invoicing and stock replenishment;

  • Build up and maintain a good relationship with key suppliers to improve supply chain efficiency including greater flexibility, shorter lead times, improved visibility;

  • Work with Market CS, Logistics team for exceptions, shipment, custom issues and delivery; maintain an effective and timely communication with key stakeholders;

  • Be agile and flexible to work on ad-hoc or urgent request.

 

Job Requirements

  • Degree or above in Textile or related discipline;

  • 8yrs+ relevant working experience in merchandising, preferably gained in buying office or multi-national companies;

  • Good technical knowledge in garment/yarn constructions, fabric development and washing;

  • Mature, detail minded, patient, well organized and highly motivated with a positive attitude;

  • Team player with flexible mind-set and ability to work independently with minimal supervision under tight schedules;

  • Sound communication, interpersonal, planning & organization skills;

  • Willing to travel when required;

  • Good command of English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
