Senior Merchandiser (Woven Fabric)

We are now looking for a Senior Merchandiser (Woven Fabric) to join our HK office.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
 

• Responsible for fabric counter sourcing and development based on fabric R&D team and merchandising team’s inquiry
• Partner with customers’ fabric R&D team to follow up critical process i.e. Fabric Delivery Schedule/Initial Testing Report/Sample Yardage and some tracking charts
• Provide technical support with customer on print developments
• Provide seasonal update raw material price
• Partner with technical team to identify risk assessment and work with internal and external stakeholders to provide solutions for potential fabric issues
• Assess existing mills with regard to R&D capability & performance
• Assist in developing new mills and support mill onboarding training
• Assist in other ad-hoc duties assigned by manager

Job Specifications (e.g. Qualification, Job Experience)
 

• Academic background on Textile & fashion management or related discipline, Degree holder preferred

• At least 6 years related experience in fashion fabric sourcing & developments. Ladies market preferred

• Good knowledge of textile industry (weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing & finishing) in wide range of fabrications
• Good sense of aesthetic and understanding of fashion trend

• Strong data base and relationship with mill in Woven

• Working at buying office or agent is an advantage
• With knowledge of using Bamboo Rose is a plus
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent Customer Relationship Management skills
• Good communication skillset in English
