Senior Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandising Manager

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandising Manager to lead the offshore sourcing, vendor management, and production operations. This role is pivotal in driving product development, ensuring quality compliance, and optimizing supply chain efficiency across global markets (Australia/USA/EU). Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for products sourcing and order follow up from sample development to delivery, ensuring products meet requirements
• Responsible any offshore activities
• Price negotiation, order co-ordination and production follow-up liaising with overseas Head Office
• Oversee daily development / production activities and resolve any issue or risk, ensure timely sampling and shipment delivery
• Work closely with buyers and other teams within the group to ensure smooth workflow
• Assist in sourcing new vendors to identify products, quality, prices for the best interest to the group business
• Monitoring vendors capacity planning on a regular basis
• Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and supplier action plans
• Identify and onboard new suppliers, conducting due diligence and ensuring compliance with company standards and policies
• Proactively address operational and quality challenges, implement vendor improvement strategies, and collaborate with the QC team to resolve quality issues
• Coaching and supporting the subordinate (if any) and provide guidance to ensure task completion, team collaboration, and professional development
• Perform ad-hoc task as required
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Senior Merchandiser

What we're looking for:

• 5 years orabove experience in a merchandising industry in the USA / UK market.

• Experience in offshore development and production preferred.
• Solid knowledge of travel goods products, such as luggage, travel accessories, and backpacks.
• Familiarity with all safety and certification requirements (e.g., BSCI/REACH).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English. Mandarin and Cantonese (written and spoken)
• Frequent travel to offshore/China is required.
• Immediate availability highly preferred.
