Resident Interior Designer (Macau based)

Responsibilities:

• Provide site supervision to ensure high-quality performance during the superstructure construction stage;

• Coordinate with the contractor and other consultants to schedule work in accordance with contract requirements;

• Attend regular project and site meetings, as well as any necessary ad-hoc coordination meetings;

• Collaborate with relevant parties to produce ID drawings and prepare documentation for AI issuance;

• Update ID drawings and documents for completed works based on existing AI;

• Review, comment on, and approve NSC submissions; respond to RFIs submitted by NSC relating to AI-specified works;

• Conduct site inspections during work as needed and provide defect reports when NSC declares work completion;

• Assist the EID with project administrative tasks under the construction contract;

• Support and coordinate with the EID to prepare a defect schedule at the end of the Defects Liability Period (DLP) or earlier if required;

• Inspect defect remedial works, minor improvements, and outstanding items during the DLP.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Interior Design or an equivalent qualification;

• Minimum of 8 years’ relevant post-qualification experience, or 5 years’ experience in fitting-out projects, preferably within hospitality and commercial sectors;

• Experience in handling F/O detailed drawings, materials, and installation details is highly preferred;

• Proficient in both spoken and written Chinese and English;

• Strong technical skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF Editor;

• Excellent abilities in detailing, drawing sketches, and effective coordination with all related parties;

• Candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for the role of Senior Resident Interior Designer;

• Candidate willing to be stationed in Macau is preferred;

• Holder of Macau ID is preferred.
