Leigh & Orange Ltd. , leading a multi-disciplinary sub-consultant team is looking for suitable applicants to take up the following positions for a new Student Resident Development in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, New Territories.

 This project is located on an existing sloped site within the campus of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology surrounded by Lee Shau Kee Business Building, Institute for Advanced Study Lo Ka Chung Building, Staff Quarter Towers 12-14 and current new Global Graduate Tower. The project site area and CFA is approx. 34,800m2 and 36,000m2 respectively for a new 8-storey student residence complex with about 1,500 numbers of hostel bed spaces, and associated supporting facilities, including communal amenities, multi-purpose hall and extensive landscaped area.

 We are now inviting qualified and experienced Resident Clerk of Works in Hong Kong experienced with site supervision of the Works which comprises watching, testing, commissioning and measuring works to obtain complying material and satisfactory workmanship, maintenance records and providing information for the preparation of interim, final certificates, settlement of contractor’s claim and preparation of as-built drawings and relevant records.
 

Resident Building Services Inspector (RBSI) (Ref: UST-RBSI-202506)

  • A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent.

  • 8 years’ relevant experience including 4 years’ working experience in the capacity of Assistant Building Services Inspector, or equivalent.

  • Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2* or above in English Language and Chinese Language in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) /Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent.

  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Resident Assistant Building Services Inspector (RABSI)

  • Duration: 5 months (to December 2025) employment contract with further extension as appropriate.

[Note * Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.]
