Registered Nurse (MPS Point 15 – 25, $35,080 - $56,450)

Job Requirements:

(a)      Possess a Certificate of Registration (Part I) and a valid Practicing Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong; and

(b)      Must be fluent in English and Cantonese.

Preferred Attributes:

(a)    Preference will be given to applicants with relevant surgical experience; and

(b)      Attained Level 2/ Grade E or above in 5 subjects in HKDSEE or HKCEE, including Chinese Language and English Language/ English Language (Syllabus B) in pre-2007 HKCEE, or equivalent.

Major Duties:           

(a)      Co-ordinate the work with other staff members and assist surgeries during operation and consultation;

(b)      Dispense medicine and give intra-muscular injection;

(c)      Perform treatments ordered by dentists, e.g. surgical dressing;

(d)      Give first-aid treatment and assist dentists during emergency;

(e)      Participate in dentists’ research work;

(f)       Act up the duties of Nursing and Infection Control Officer during her absence;

(g)      Arrange patients’ appointment in PPDH and special radiodiagnostic appointments in private and public hospitals e.g. C.T. Scan and MRI;

(h)      Assist tracing C.T. Scan, MRI and pathology reports; and

(i)        Any other duties as directed by Nursing and Infection Control Officer, Clinic Manager, Comptroller or Director.

Package:           Five-day week, 18 days’ annual leave and medical/ dental benefits. Successful candidates will be offered appointment at the entry point, MPS Point 15 ($35,080) per month with a two-year contract which is renewable, subject to satisfactory performance.  An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct.  The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Hospital’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485), equals to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
