Purchaser and Shipping

About the role

As a Purchaser and Shipping Specialist at NexLen International Limited, you will play a key role in the company's freight and logistics operations. This full-time position is based in Kwun Tong, Kwun Tong District, and involves sourcing and procuring goods and services, as well as managing the shipping and delivery of cargo.

What you'll be doing

• Research and identify reliable suppliers of goods and services required for logistics operations
• Negotiate competitive pricing and favourable terms with suppliers
• Process purchase orders and maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Coordinate the shipping and delivery of cargo, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to clients
• Monitor shipment status and provide updates to internal stakeholders and clients
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve supply chain efficiency
• Contribute to the development and implementation of logistics strategies

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or logistics role, preferably in the freight/cargo forwarding industry
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and clients
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address shipping challenges
• Proficient in using logistics management software and tools
• Thorough understanding of freight forwarding processes, import/export regulations, and supply chain management
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities
