Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced engineer to support the expansion of our operational footprint in Hong Kong, with a particular focus on the electrification of ports and terminals. This role combines site management responsibilities with strategic project development, including feasibility studies and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving forward our infrastructure transformation and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management:

Lead and coordinate daily site operations across active OPS (onshore power) development zones.

Manage relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and government regulators.

Monitor construction progress and ensure alignment with project milestones and budgets.

Host and facilitate regular progress meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Prepare and submit statutory documents and technical reports to relevant authorities.

Ensure compliance with Hong Kong construction regulations and environmental standards.

Troubleshoot site issues and implement timely resolutions.
Project Development & Office-Based Duties:

Conduct feasibility studies for new infrastructure projects, with emphasis on electrification initiatives.

Analyse technical, environmental, and financial aspects of proposed developments.

Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership.

Support the development of project proposals, tender documentation, and strategic planning.

Collaborate with internal engineering and sustainability teams to align site activities with long-term OPS goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Strong technical and engineering knowledge, Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering. These credentials are essential for engineers involved in electrification projects, especially those dealing with power systems, port infrastructure, and regulatory compliance.

Candidates who are Registered Professional Engineers under HKIE/ ICE/ IET in Hong Kong will be viewed favourably, especially for statutory submissions and government liaison.

Membership in other recognised international engineering bodies may be considered, provided the candidate has relevant local experience and regulatory knowledge.

6–12 years of experience in construction, site management, and infrastructure development.

Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.

Proven experience working with government bodies and statutory submission processes.

Problem-solving abilities to address technical and logistical challenges

Familiarity with electrification technologies and sustainable infrastructure is highly desirable.
Required Skills & Characteristics:

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills – essential for navigating complex multi-party environments.

Excellent organisational and time management abilities – to manage concurrent site and office responsibilities.

Analytical and problem-solving mindset – with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin – both written and spoken.

Knowledge of Hong Kong construction regulations and statutory procedures.

Experience with port and terminal infrastructure or electrification projects

Understanding of sustainability frameworks and ESG principles
