Project-Based Learning Facilitator
Dalton School Hong Kong is seeking a dynamic and innovative Project-Based Learning Facilitator to lead and inspire our students through a transformative educational experience. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Education with at least three years of teaching experience, possess strong content knowledge in Math and/or Science, and demonstrate a commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Bilingual candidates with English proficiency are highly valued. This two-year contract role is pivotal in delivering a student-centered, inquiry-based curriculum that empowers learners to thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Jos Specification:
- Master's degree in education and three years of teaching
- English language proficiency; Bilingual candidates will be advantaged
- Content knowledge in Math and/or Science
- Appointment: Two-Year Contract
Job Requirement:
- Facilitate and implement a comprehensive project-based learning curriculum that encompasses a variety of disciplines.
- Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration among students.
- Demonstrate knowledge of progressive pedagogy, including inquiry-based instruction.
- Create detailed lesson plans that are adaptable and responsive to the diverse skill levels and interests of students.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs and abilities of students, fostering growth in both technical skills and artistic expression.
- Utilize a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and provide meaningful feedback aligned with learning objectives.
- Maintain a well-organized classroom that encourages student independence and collaboration.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate content into interdisciplinary projects and enhance the overall educational experience.
- Design and implement engaging science lessons that align with standards, fostering critical thinking and hands-on learning through experiments and projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, or Science-related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- EDB Registered Teacher
- Familiarity with Project-based learning and/or inquiry-based learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for serving emergent language learners.
Working Conditions
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Part-Time option available
