Product Sourcing Manager

Role:

• Daily manage and develop a subcategory team including but not limited to objective setting, performance management (regular 1:1 meetings, quarterly reviews and annual appraisal), recruitment as well as training and development.
• Conduct market research to source and develop new products and vendors for all sector operating companies and ensure that customer requirements & briefs are met.
• Implement category planning and budgeting processes to create saving.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain and Product Development team to ensure projects and orders are managed through to completion, achieving the agreed quality levels, and delivered on-time in full as per KPIs.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with Regional Sourcing Manager, Range teams and Group Buyers to understand the vision of category strategy and the approach to execution from sourcing perspective.
2. Translate the category strategy into a buying strategy using strong negotiation skills and fully leveraging team resources and maximize category growth & the CPR opportunities.
3. Influence the shareholders to align the sourcing strategy & supplier strategy.
4. Lead and manage SRM (supplier relationship management) & keep monitoring supplier performance.
5. Lead the tri-angler team on new product development and to ensure the offer is at the best price, the best quality and with risk management skill.
6. Develop and manage a high performing team.

Work Experience:

Minimum 12 years relevant experience in which with minimum 5 years in managerial capacity; possess good understanding of European market requirements and trends and intensive experience in working directly with factories

Skills:

Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal, presentation and project management skills. Proven coaching and leadership skills are required.

Great communication and interpersonal skills

Industrial / Product Knowledge:

Strong sourcing network and knowledge in home improvement product, definite advantageous to bathroom products

Languages:English, Mandarin and Cantonese, spoken and written is must

Travel Requirements (% & where) -50% mainly China
