Procurement Specialist (Healthcare & Beauty)

About the role

As a Procurement Specialist (Healthcare & Beauty) at Chinese Pharmaceuticals (HK) Co., Limited, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating and securing high-quality, cost-effective healthcare and beauty products for our rapidly growing business. This full-time position, based in Kwun Tong District, offers excellent opportunities for professional development within our dynamic retail and consumer products company.

What you'll be doing

• Product Sourcing & Identification: Actively identify and source popular local health and skincare products from specified channels, including drugstores, retail chains, and cross-border purchasing platforms.
• Supplier Communication & Negotiation: Establish and maintain relationships with local suppliers (pharmacies, retail store managers, daigou platform vendors). Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and, crucially, smaller Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) to meet our inventory flexibility requirements.
• Market Research & Product Evaluation: Conduct ongoing market research to identify trending and popular health and skincare products in the local market. Evaluate product quality, authenticity, and compliance with relevant regulations, especially for health-related items.
• Order Placement & Follow-up: Place purchase orders efficiently and diligently follow up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all sourced products meet quality standards and comply with local regulations.
• Inventory & Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams regarding product receiving, basic inventory tracking, and potential local logistics arrangements for collected goods.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier information, and delivery schedules. Provide regular updates or reports on sourcing activities and market insights.

What we're looking for

• 2-3 years of experience in a procurement or buying role, preferably within the healthcare or beauty industries
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field
• Familiarity with the local retail landscape for health and skincare products (e.g., knowledge of popular drugstores, 759, 360).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with good organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Fluency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin is a must
