Planning Manager, Engineer & Assistant

About the role
MJ Consultants Limited is seeking highly skilled Planning Engineers and Planning Managers to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary teams comprising quantity surveyors and other engineering professionals. You will play a crucial role in the planning and delay analysis of complex construction and engineering projects, ensuring the timely delivery and proper contract management of projects.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain project schedules, utilising industry-leading planning software
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and resolve scheduling challenges
• Conduct regular progress reviews and provide detailed reports to management
• Optimise resources and identify opportunities to improve project efficiency
• Implement change control procedures to ensure project objectives are met
• Analyse project delays and propose recommendations for effective contract management
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members on planning best practices

What we're looking for

·       Degree/ Diploma in Engineering, Construction, Surveying or related fields

·       Solid experiences in project planning and delay analysis in the construction projects

·       Proficient in the use of project management software (Primavera 6 or Microsoft Project)

·       Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems

·       Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

·       Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage

·       Candidates with more experience may be considered for Senior Planning Engineer/ Planning Manager
