Physical Education Teacher (Secondary School)

DBIS seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified and successful Secondary School Physical Education teacher who is willing to commit to working in a stimulating and dynamic international educational environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join us as our Secondary phase is significantly expanding, with growth in both student numbers and the development of state-of-the-art PE and sports facilities.

To be considered, it is essential to have:

• A minimum of two years’ experience in a full-time class teaching role;
• A bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in Physical Education/Sports or a closely related field;
• A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS);
• Experience teaching Physical Education to a high quality at Secondary School level within the English National Curriculum framework.

It is desirable to have:

• Experience teaching Key Stage 3, (I)GCSE and A Level Physical Education or Sport (applications from IB Sport, Exercise and Health teachers will also be accepted);
• A master’s or postgraduate qualification in a related subject;
• Experience working with EAL pupils (English as an Additional Language);
• Experience or interest in being an examiner for (I)GCSE and/or A Level.

All new teachers are offered two-year renewable contracts and a competitive compensation package, with a gratuity of 18.75%, an additional monthly cash allowance, remuneration of school fees for one child and full medical and dental insurance for the employee and spouse.
