Our Financial Education Centre is commissioned by The Labour and Welfare Bureau (LWB) to design and deliver a financial literacy course to the elderly under the Elderly Academy (EA) Scheme. We are hiring professional people with banking or finance experience to be our course trainers.

Part-time Trainer

Responsibilities:

• Conduct the financial literacy course and facilitate learning among elderly participants through interactive activities
• Monitor the learning progress of elderly participants throughout the course and provide tailored feedback
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the diverse learning preferences and needs of elderly participants
• Manage the classroom effectively to ensure a positive learning environment
• Promote peer-to-peer learning and sharing among participants
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the course regularly and make necessary changes to improve its overall quality and relevance within the overall course framework

Requirements:

• University degree or above in business, finance, or a related discipline
• Professional certifications in financial planning, financial education or financial social work (such as CFA, CFP, AFC, Certified Financial Wellness Social Worker/Practitioner), and/or frontline working experience in banking, insurance, investment and/or retirement sectors
• Ample experience in delivering financial literacy courses, with a preference for those who have worked with elderly individuals; candidates with broader experience in financial education, wealth management, or training roles would also be considered.
• Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess up-to-date knowledge of financial literacy topics, including new financial products and market trends
• Fluent in Cantonese and English
• Retirees from related disciplines are also welcome
