Merchandiser - Trims

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the management of all R&D and Bulk Phase-related activities based on the goals set by the Company, focusing on Product Quality, Price, Lead Time, and Sustainability.
• Interact with HQ Trims and Compliance, as well as HK Production and Logistics, to ensure tasks are effectively carried out.
• Handle the product development process from concept to production, through protos, SMS and bulk production.
• Maintain R&D phase information in the PLM system and manage the internal library to ensure all trims data is current and accurate.
• Conduct thorough research in materials and trims to drive innovation and improve product quality.
• Engage in negotiations with vendors to secure competitive pricing and terms that meet company targets.
• Identify and evaluate potential new vendors to expand product offerings.
• Coordinate the allocation of developments among nominated vendors and manage SMS deliveries timely.
• Follow up product functionality testing and to make improvements based on feedback and performance results.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in trims development.
• Higher diploma or above in Fashion, Apparel, or a related field.
• Proficient in interpreting tech packs and reading 2D files.
• Background in European fashion brands with a strong understanding of the trims and packaging category.
• Understanding of trims, construction, and manufacturing processes in production.
• Good project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently with suppliers and the design team in Italy.
• Dynamic, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Strong communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin; open-minded and willing to collaborate.
• Ability to negotiate pricing with suppliers.

• Proficient in MS Office and PLM; experience with graphic programs like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (experience with 3D software is a plus).
