Merchandiser (Toys & Leisure)

 Responsibilities:

• Source the right suppliers/factories that fits the commercial buying strategy;
• Manage and follow through merchandising activities (product evaluations, price negotiation, product and packaging development, project coordination, sample, production and shipment), work closely and effectively with cross-functional departments (QA, CR, Design, Supplier etc.);
• Secure availability of all digital assets from suppliers to prepare for sales;
• Ensure correct master data of product and vendor to be created and maintained for procurement;
• Communicate with suppliers in ensuring their understanding and meeting with our requirement;
• Comply work according to social compliance and quality assurance policies;
• Ensure supplier understands and complies customer procedures and workflows;
• Manage Product development milestone, order follow up to ensure shipment on time;
• Sample handling, logging, packing and delivery arrangement;
• Proactively anticipate issues and provide problem solving wherever necessary.

Requirements:

• Diploma or above graduate (graduated in Sourcing/ Procurement or related disciple will be an advantage);

• 5 - 8 years’ solid merchandising experience in Toysin European trading, sourcing or buying office is preferable;

• Sound product knowledge and familiar with European market and testing standards;
• Well-organized, self-motivated, detail minded, responsible, able to work independently and good teamwork spirt;
• Structured and analytical with good problem-solving skills;
• Strong negotiation skills;
• Good project management skills, able to meet deadlines;
• Excellent of spoken & written English, Cantonese and Mandarin;
• Proficiency in PC skills such as MS Office, experience in Lookup and Pivot table would be a plus. Experience in SAP System is an extra bonus.
