Job Description

We are a global sourcing company and we are currently looking for a Merchandise Manager for our hardgoods business, looking after the Home Accessories and Candles categories. This role will be reporting to the Senior Merchandise Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Senior Merchandise Manager of the whole supply chain from factory sourcing, product development, order follow-up till shipment. Proactive on problem precaution and solving.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to negotiate terms, pricing and delivery schedules to fulfil the needs of the customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor and understand competitor activities and market trends, and identify new opportunities for growth.
• Understand the current supplier base, and source and develop new suppliers to fulfil the business goals and needs of the customers.
• Provide guidance and direction to the sub-ordinate, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.
• Act as a team leader and work closely with other supporting teams (such as Quality Team) to deliver and fulfil the needs of the customers.
• Willing to travel.

Requirements

• Tertiary educated
• Well organized, attentive to details and problem solving
• Self-motivated with strong sense of ownership and responsibility
• Independent and excellent time management in meeting deadline
• Good communication skills, and fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Good computer skills in MS Office including Excel, Power Point and MS TEAM.
• Experience in handling relevant categories is preferable.
• Experience working in the UK market is a Must.
• A minimum of 8 years relevant experience with at least 1 year managerial experience.
• Candidates from Hong Kong and Mainland China will be considered.
