Mechanical Engineer/Assistant Mechanical Engineer

The position is the starting point for a career path towards the management level within the organization.  This position is suitable for a highly motivated individual, who has the aspiration to develop long term career in the field of engineering and maintenance.  

Duties :

• Undertake engineering tasks in a site environment

• Work with external vendors in connection with engineering assignments

• Ensure the plant premises are well maintained

• Manage analytical and design activities for the plants

• Resolve engineering issues using the latest and proven technologies and approaches

• Review tenders for engineering projects

• Supervise a team of technicians to perform installation, maintenance and repairing works

• Undertake any tasks as assigned

What you will need for this role

The successful candidate will possess the following key skills and attributes:

• Higher Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines

• At least 2-3 years’ relevant working experience, preferably with repair and maintenance experience in electrical & mechanical engineering or facilities management in a site environment

• Demonstrate understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles within the engineering function

• Self-motivated, strong problem-solving capability with good sense of critical thinking and analytical mind

• Pleasant and outgoing personality with strong sense of responsibility

• Good presentation, communication and negotiation skills

• A good team player

• Able to work independently and under pressure

• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

Those with less working experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Engineer.
