Landfill Engineer (1 Year Contract)

Far East Landfill Technologies Limited (FELT), a subsidiary of Veolia Hong Kong &Macau, operates the NENT Landfill under a long-term contract with the HKSAR Government. FELT delivers innovative and sustainable waste management solutions with a focus on environmental responsibility.

Job Description

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities and assist the Landfill Manager in project planning, development, and implementation. This includes developing proper waste disposal and landfilling practices.
• Assist in designing the topographic landfilling plan and the surface water management plan
• Assist in managing the import and stockpiling of soil and rock fill materials, operational machinery along with subcontractors
• Administering operation rosters, documents and drawing
• Assist in safety and efficiency of landfill operations
• Order supplies, equipment and materials for the operations activities

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma / Certificate or above in Engineering discipline
• Good command in both written and spoken Chinese, English
• Holder of a valid safety card (green card)
• Holder of valid driving license (Class 1 & 2)

Additional information

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience in engineering works or in construction industry
• Experience with advanced technologies, such as drones for inspection will be an advantage
• Principles and practices of planning, organisation, supervision, policies and objectives

• Familiar with construction drawings and proficient in the use of AutoCAD software

• Possession of a Supervisory Certificate is preferable
• Working in both indoor and outdoor environments
• The employment terms will be reviewed after the completion of the contract
