The Head of IT Assurance and Compliance (Greater China) will lead and own IT assurance and compliance related activities within the region. This role will report directly to the Global Head of IT Assurance and Compliance, and forms part of the Global IT Assurance and Compliance function.

As the Head of IT Assurance and Compliance, the core job competency is to ensure that IT operations in Greater China adhere to regulatory requirements, meet client expectations, as well as internal standards. This role not only involves leading engagements between CTS and regulators, clients and their auditors, but also be responsible for coordinating CTS audit activities in support of Computershare's third-party assurance (TPA) testing program within the region, as well as supporting the wider global team's TPA efforts when required.

Some other key accountabilities will include:

  • Regulatory Compliance. Ensure that all IT operations comply with local and global regulatory requirements, specific focus is on ensuring compliance in Greater China. This includes staying updated on relevant regulations and implementing necessary changes to IT processes and policies.
  • Client Engagement. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, clients, and third-party auditors.
  • Audit Management. Coordinate and manage audits conducted by clients, their auditors, and Computershare's appointed auditors.
  • Risk Management. Identify and mitigate IT-related risks within the region. Develop and implement risk management strategies and ensure that all IT activities are aligned with the company's risk appetite.
  • Guidance and training. Work with the technical teams and internal SME's to ensure that they understand what their responsibilities are when it comes to our control environment, with specific focus on the legal, regulatory and client requirements in greater China.

What will you bring to the role?

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong working knowledge of local regulatory requirements in Greater China, with a specific focus on IT technical and operational control requirements; possess strong client engagement experience and have a proven track record in managing audits and engaging with regulators and clients, particularly in the context of ISAE, SOC, and ISO standards. Also, excellent communication skills, ability to operate and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.

Some other key skills required for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of related work experience in technology and financial services. Have proven experience in a senior IT role, with specific expertise in dealing with internal and external stakeholders, auditors, clients, and regulators.
  • Risk and compliance experience. Deep understanding of IT control best practices.
  • Good understanding of legal and regulatory requirements in Greater China. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and bodies such as CSRC, SAMR, NFRA, and others; recognized industry certifications (CGEIT, CRISC, CISM, CISA, etc.) is a plus.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, customer oriented and strong attention to details.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
