Job description

The Head of Commercial is a senior management role that oversees all functions of an organization’s commercial department. He/she makes sure that the departmental operations run smoothly and is responsible for delivering Commercial Excellence.

He/she is accountable for the commercial operations with overall responsibility of defining, developing and delivering the Securitas top-line in Hong Kong. To develop and execute the commercial strategy in line with the Securitas overall commercial strategy, defines the key targets and sales ambitions for all sales work streams (solutions, guarding and Electronic Security) in close cooperation with the commercial team and country management and ensures that Securitas commercial processes and tools are efficiently implemented in Hong Kong. To identify segments and clients to hunt, qualifies customers and leads and has the ultimate decision of whether or not to pursue certain clients or tenders based on market segmentation framework, risk assessment and pricing strategy.

He/she is responsible for the sales process for own prospects and client and is accountable for the sales process of the team. The CEP / CRM should be always updated with all necessary information and a winning strategy should be assured for every prospect client. The Head of Commercial is responsible for correct costing and pricing, review of service agreement and will support the team in negotiations and closing the deal.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Strategic Development:

- Formulate and execute commercial strategies to achieve business objectives and increase market share.

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.

2. Sales and Business Development:

- Explore sales opportunity achieve targeted sales goals and revenue growth.

- Establish sales processes and performance metrics to ensure positive return and revenue results.

- Responsible for the client proposal and costing sheet.

- Train the operation Team for liasing and deal with clients

3. Client Relationship Management:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

- Oversee the negotiation and management of contracts to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

4. Marketing Strategy:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement marketing initiatives that promote the company’s services.

- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.

5. Financial Oversight:

- Prepare and manage the commercial budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

- Analyze financial performance and report on sales forecasts, revenue, and expenses.

6. Team Management:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for professional growth.

7. Partnership Development:

- Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance service offerings and market reach.

- Collaborate with partners to create mutually beneficial business opportunities.

8. Compliance and Risk Management:

- Ensure all commercial activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Identify potential risks in commercial operations and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualification

  • Degree in Business, Marketing or any other subject
  • Ability to understand numbers and analyse data to inform commercial decisions
  • Excellent spoken and written English; local language knowledge; any other language is a plus
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics
  • 10-15 years of experience
  • Experience in service industry or security industry is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the commercial team in a multi-cultural environment
  • Hands on experience with accounting software or ERP
  • Customer service attitude
  • International exposure
